The answer is Yes!
I 'm mentioning about neither political activities with distribution of financial resources nor profit oriented business.
Every organization and net-worked organizations require officers or leaders to gather or to meet for decision making or training or presentation etc. In such case, they need money for transportation to the venue.
However, do all the members who belong to the organization or the networked organizations know or consent that the gatherings or the meetings are necessary or useful for themselves?
Are the leaders ' presences @ the general assembly necessary?
Do they purely work for the organization other than themselves?
Even if only a little they enjoy the opportunities for the sake of themselves in some remote places, are they qualified as legitimate for receiving financial assistance of transportation?
Who should bear the cost of non financially profitable activities that are imposed on a few members of the organizations?
It is quite difficult for us to answer them.
I think that the most important thing is that every activity should be necessary or be useful also for other members. So called accountability, in other words, to explain what I did and what other organizations are doing to other members is necessary. All the leaders of volunteer organizations should not be pushed by orders of events.
All the leaders of volunteer organizations may say NO! for excess work or excess financial burdens. If the activities or the burdens are really necessary for the members, they would hopefully share the expenses or appreciate the effort.
It is true that traveling to different places and meeting different people must be fun.
It is worth spending a little bit of money from our pockets.
If the amount is a little, it must be OK!!!
It is quite difficult for the amount of expenses to stay small.
